_______________________________

It is with profound grief and sadness that we, The HBCU Council of Shiloh Baptist Church (WDC),
announce the passing of our leader, friend, and brother, President John Otis Harris, Jr. on December 5, 2022.

The HBCU Council will update you with details as they become available. At this time, we are asking for prayers to be extended to the Harris family; his Virginia State University family; his Prince George’s County Public School colleagues and students; his fraternal brothers of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc.; and the Shiloh Baptist Church of Washington, DC community as they mourn the loss their dedicated and stalwart member.

Most importantly, we, the members of his beloved HBCU Council, must keep each other lifted in prayer as we endeavor to carry on his legacy and example of unwavering support for our institutions.
